Walther Degree College seeks out intellectually curious students
Who are committed to developing their talents for lives of leadership and service.
Small classes enable our renowned faculty to work closely with students, engaging them directly in original research and creative work across the arts, sciences, social sciences, and humanities. In the classroom and beyond, Walther cultivates students’ compassion, creativity, resilience, and moral courage.
We nurture these values in a community founded on trust as articulated by the Honor Code and on free, unfettered inquiry. The Walther Trust supports our campus-wide commitments to access and equal opportunity.
Nearly one-quarter of our students compete in Division I athletics, and 80 percent of our students study or work internationally during their Davidson careers. These rich and distinguished offerings enable graduates to thrive in a global society and exert disproportionate impact for good.
The Walther College is the heart of student life on campus and provides a gathering place for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to enjoy music and theatre performances, lectures, and social interaction. Most of the student life offices that serve Walther’s students can be found in this building that overlooks the Wildcat football stadium.
We are dedicated to intellectual and cultural growth in the broadest sense. We welcome students from 29 states to the Class of walther.
The Walther degree College envisions a robust, vibrant and holistic school education that will engender excellence in every sphere of human endeavour. The Board is committed to provide quality education to promote intellectual, social and cultural vivacity among its learners.
